COMMUNITY NEWS
A couple who grew up in Manheim opens their local-maker marketplace on Main Street tomorrow.
Artisan Mill Co. opens its newest location tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, at 49 North Main Street in Manheim, in the REO Manheim Marketplace.
Doors open at 10:00 a.m.
The owners, Ian and Ashley, grew up in Manheim.
When they announced the new store in September, they wrote to the town: "We were born and raised in your town, graduated from your high school, and now we're incredibly excited to announce that we'll be bringing our small business to downtown Manheim as our newest location!"
"Manheim is such a special—and often underrated—small town," they wrote. "We hope to contribute to the continued growth and vibrancy of our hometown and be a small part of what makes Manheim such a great place to live, work, and visit."
Artisan Mill already has marketplaces in Lititz and Lancaster.
Across its stores it brings together more than 300 local artisans and entrepreneurs, with handcrafted goods from home décor and jewelry to gourmet food products.
Its website says it was "Voted Lancaster's #1 Gift Shop."
More than 140 vendors have been getting their spaces ready in Manheim. "Vendors are finishing up their spaces and the store is really coming together!" the shop posted last week.
Its suggestion for a visit: grab a cup of coffee at Mill 72 Bake Shop & Café, come shop, then treat yourself at Twisted Sisters, both in the same marketplace.
Manheim hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The store is closed Mondays.
