COMMUNITY NEWS
Forty years of smoke over Main Street.
Some restaurants chase trends. Harvey's Main Street BBQ just kept the smoker running — for four decades. The barbecue joint at 304 E Main St turns 40 this July — 15 of those years spent in Mount Joy — and they're not letting the milestone slide by quietly. On Saturday, July 18, Harvey's is throwing an anniversary party with music, drinks, a buffet, games, and raffle prizes, open to everyone. Forty years is a long run for any small business; doing it one brisket at a time is something worth celebrating with a plate in hand. The party starts late morning — Harvey's says festivities kick in around noon.
