Playa Bowls plants its flag in Manheim Township - The New Jersey-born açaí bowl chain opens its first Lancaster County location this Sunday, April 26, at 1500 Gilbert Way, Suite B123, in the Crossings at Conestoga Creek shopping center. Founded in 2014 by surfers Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, the brand has grown to more than 300 locations nationwide. Franchisee Monica Massey, who also operates the York store, will offer customizable açaí, pitaya, and coconut bowls alongside smoothies and cold brew. If you've been driving to York for your fix, your commute just got a lot shorter.
