Today’s Local Interest Story
Morning Lancaster, hope you’re having a great Wednesday. I’m excited about some fun events happening in Lancaster.
Here’s the scoop!
There’s a trivia night at Southern Market tonight.
Do you love trivia nights, but want to avoid the hassle of trying to wrangle up enough friends to field a team? Come play for a Meet People Lancaster team and make some new friends along the way!
Cost: FREE
Bar & food stations are all walk up. You’ll be on your own tab for the night.
Host: Mark Aumen
Please try to get there by 6:30PM, so we can get situated at a couple tables.
Trivia starts at 7PM. If you come up early you’ll have time to mingle and get some food before trivia starts.
Location: 100 S Queen St, Lancaster, PA 17603
How to find the group: We have a couple acrylic sign holders on tables with Meet People Lancaster logos in them. We’ll also post an Instagram story with a picture of where your host, Mark, is sitting in the food court. Please follow Instagram stories for event updates. Not just for this event, but for all events.
Sports News
Our Hershey Neighbors Have Exciting Hockey News
While he’s to the north in Hershey, I felt like this was big enough to share to everyone here in Lancaster. MacGregor King has been selected to the 2026 USPHL All-Star Game in Foxborough, MA.
King becomes just the second player in Hershey Cubs history to earn this honor - a huge milestone for both him and the program. Chocolatetown will be well represented! And everyone in Lancaster is proud :)

Major Road Closures - Avoid These Streets
There’s a few road closures you may need to know about.
South Duke Street, Lancaster City
South Duke Street is closed now through March 31, 2026 while crews complete stormwater separation, utility work, ADA upgrades, lighting, and more. Detours are in place with local access only, so plan extra travel time if you’re heading downtown.
Willow Road Extended Closure - East Lampeter Township
Willow Road will be closed for construction starting Jan. 19, 2026, with an anticipated duration of about 3 months.
If possible, try to avoid these streets.
