A Pro Bowl cornerback takes the F&M commencement podium
Franklin & Marshall College will hand diplomas to 416 graduates Saturday morning, and the keynote is coming from someone who knows a thing or two about high-pressure moments. Troy Vincent, the NFL's executive vice president of football operations since 2014 and a five-time Pro Bowl cornerback, will deliver the address at the 239th Commencement at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center. Vincent spent eight seasons with the Eagles during a 15-year playing career and has built a second act defined by humanitarian work. He'll receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters alongside the recognition.
Three more honorary degrees go to leaders with deep local ties
Joining Vincent on stage will be John Fry, the 14th president of F&M and current president of Temple University; Susan Eckert, who spent 25 years leading the United Way of Lancaster County; and MaryAnn Robins, president of the Circle Legacy Center, which supports the Indigenous community in Lancaster. President Andrew Rich will preside, with Board Chair Eric Noll '83 also addressing graduates. The ceremony runs 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 929 Harrisburg Ave.
