Art Battle Lancaster Brings Live Painting & Creative Competition to West Art
Get ready for a night where creativity, competition, and community collide - Art Battle® Lancaster returns on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at West Art (816 Buchanan Avenue) in Lancaster.
This high-energy event invites art lovers of all ages to witness a live art competition like no other. Talented local and regional artists take the stage - or rather the easels - transforming blank canvases into original works of art within a rapid 20-minute time limit per round.
Across three exciting rounds, participants paint in real time while the audience watches the creative process unfold. The crowd then votes for their favorites, deciding who moves on and who’s crowned champion of the evening.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there - every painting created that night goes up for live auction, giving attendees the chance to take home a unique piece crafted before their eyes.
Whether you’re a seasoned art fan or just curious to see creativity in action, Art Battle® Lancaster promises a night of bold expression and interactive fun.
The event features entertainment from Red Tie Affairs, keeping the energy high throughout the competition.
This is an all-ages event, making it a great evening outing for friends, families, and anyone who loves art and community engagement.

Servant Stage Company Is Performing "Hadestown: Teen Edition"
Hadestown: Teen Edition is a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience.
Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
Personally, this is one of my favorite shows. I’ve seen many versions (including the teen version at Mt. Gretna) and I simply love it.
Shows are starting Friday through Feb 8th.
I might see you there 😉

Major Vibes: Friends-Days Brings Midweek Music and Community to Tellus360
Looking for a relaxed, music-driven way to break up the workweek? Major Vibes: Friends-Days is bringing its signature blend of vinyl, community, and laid-back energy to Tellus360 on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, starting at 8:00 p.m.
Hosted by DJ Major Vibes, Friends-Days is more than just a DJ night, it’s a midweek gathering built around connection, discovery, and shared love of music. Rooted in more than a decade of spinning records at Tellus360, the event has evolved into a welcoming space where longtime regulars and first-time visitors feel equally at home.
The night features an eclectic mix of sounds from across eras and genres, all delivered on vinyl. Rather than focusing on loud club energy, Friends-Days leans into a “living room vibe,” encouraging people to hang out, talk, listen, and enjoy the music together. It’s a space where the atmosphere matters just as much as the playlist.
Open to guests 21 and over, the event runs from 8 p.m. to midnight, making it a perfect low-pressure option for a casual night out. Whether you’re coming with friends or stopping by solo, the focus is on good music, good people, and authentic community.
Lancaster Fun Fact
Lancaster once had its own electric railway system.
In the early 1900s, streetcars connected Lancaster City to towns like Lititz, Ephrata, and Columbia, making it possible to commute across the county without a car over 100 years ago.
That’s todays updates,
