COMMUNITY NEWS
Lancaster's Red Rose Run Turns 50 - and the City Showed Up
Lancaster's beloved Red Rose Run crossed a major milestone last Saturday, June 6, with its 50th annual race drawing more than 1,750 registered runners through the heart of Lancaster City. To mark the anniversary, organizers leaned into the race's 1970s roots - period-inspired attire was actively encouraged, and participants embraced the moment with bell-bottoms, headbands, and plenty of vintage flair.
The 5-mile course through city streets is a local tradition that has grown into one of the region's most anticipated community events, bringing together seasoned runners and first-timers alike.
A kids' run was part of the festivities, making it a genuine multi-generational celebration. Proceeds from the race benefit Lancaster Central Market Trust, keeping the community impact as local as the event itself. Full recap →
