Happy Friday, Lancaster!
It may be cloudy today, but the weekend lineup across the county is anything but.
There’s live music downtown, bluegrass in Lititz, a murder mystery at Mount Hope, and a brand-new hotel opening at Dutch Wonderland.
Here’s what I think is worth your time today.

"Teenage Dirtbag" Is Back - And So Is Wheatus, Tonight at Tellus 360
If you grew up in the early 2000s, you know the song. Tonight, Wheatus brings it to Lancaster.
The band plays Tellus 360, 24 E. King Street tonight, with doors at 7 p.m. and the show starting at 8.
The timing couldn't be better. This year marks 25 years since Wheatus released their self-titled debut album - home to "Teenage Dirtbag," one of the most unexpectedly enduring anthems of the last quarter century.
To celebrate, the band is touring the U.S. and Canada performing the full album front to back each night, plus taking fan requests from the rest of their catalog.
Lancaster is one stop on what promises to be a memorable tour. Tickets are available through the Tellus 360 website.
Traditional Bluegrass Comes to Mickey's Black Box Tonight
If you appreciate bluegrass the way it was meant to be played - unpolished, powerful, and straight from the soul - tonight's show in Lititz is worth the drive.
Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass take the stage at Mickey's Black Box, 101 Rock Lititz Blvd, this Friday, March 6, at 8 p.m. Opener Wood Flower opens the night.
The band plays powerful, unadorned traditional bluegrass - no genre-bending, no hybrid sounds. Just the real thing.
Danny Paisley's voice is the centerpiece: a combination of powerful range and soulful blues that artists like Alison Krauss have called among their favorites in bluegrass today.
Mickey's Black Box is Lancaster County's premier live entertainment venue, located on the Rock Lititz campus with room for around 650 people and two full bars.
It's an intimate setting that suits this kind of music well.
Whodunit Meets the Centennial at Mount Hope Estate
History and mystery collide this weekend at one of Lancaster County's most iconic properties.
Mount Hope Estate & Winery, 2775 Lebanon Road in Manheim, is hosting "1776–1876: Murder at Mount Hope" from the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on both Friday and Saturday evenings.
The show drops guests into an interactive whodunit set against the backdrop of America's centennial - think period drama, plenty of suspects, and a meal to keep you fueled while you solve the case.
It's the kind of night out that's equal parts dinner party and theater, and Mount Hope's grand Victorian setting makes it a natural fit for the material. Whether you come with a date, a group of friends, or just a sharp eye for clues, it promises a memorable evening.
Tickets and reservations are available through Mount Hope Estate. For more information, click here.
The show runs through April.
Dutch Wonderland Inn Opens Today - And It's a Big Deal for Lancaster Family Travel
Lancaster County's most beloved family destination just got a whole lot bigger.
The Dutch Wonderland Inn officially opens today, Friday, March 6, at 2285 Lincoln Hwy East in East Lampeter Township.
The newly renovated property features 155 rooms and 4 suites, two swimming pools - including an indoor pool open year-round - a water slide, a splash pad, and a brand-new on-site restaurant.
And there's plenty of reason to plan ahead: the Dutch Wonderland amusement park itself opens this spring. With the hotel now open weeks before the park, families can book a stay, enjoy the pools and splash pad, and be ready to hit the rides the moment the gates open.
