Lancaster's Luca Restaurant Earns a James Beard Finalist Spot

Nathan Flaim, chef at Luca in Lancaster City, has been named a finalist for the 2026 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in the Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic category - a designation widely considered the "Oscars of the food world." The Mid-Atlantic region is a loaded field, covering chefs from D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Flaim and Luca will find out if they take home the award at the June 15 ceremony in Chicago. In the meantime, Lancaster County has every reason to feel proud - and maybe make a reservation.

Gish's Furniture Is Building Something Big Near Tanger Outlets

Gish's Furniture is breaking ground on a new showroom and retail shopping center in East Lampeter Township, just a stone's throw from Tanger Outlets. The new Lancaster location - slated for completion by December 2026 - will showcase a wide selection of handcrafted Amish furniture, the kind of quality the brand has been known for throughout Lancaster County. For anyone who's ever driven past a Gish's and wished there were a more convenient location, that wish is about to come true.
