At 9:45 this morning, somebody cuts a ribbon at 1610 Manheim Pike and Bavington Clothier is open.
Their own description is a men's and women's boutique "built on craftsmanship," selling curated clothing and doing personalized tailoring.
One of their own lines: "tailored with intention."
Two other lines from their site tell you more about the intent than any mission statement would.
The first: "A boutique built on the small things done well."
The second: "A shop for people who care how things are made."
That's a specific kind of store, and a fairly confident thing to open in 2026.
Here's the part worth planning around — they aren't doing a one-morning ribbon cutting and calling it done. They've built out four straight days.
Today, Wednesday: the ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m., then brunch bites by New Holland Coffee from 10 to noon.
Thursday: Oola Bowls, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Their pitch is to "fuel your shopping with an acai bowl."
Friday: The Florecita Bar, 1 to 4 p.m. — a complimentary fresh bouquet with a $250 purchase.
Saturday: two things at once.
Lindsay Marie Artwork from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., hand-painting a monogram onto a canvas bag, and the Whistlin' Wildflower Coffee Cart from 10 a.m. to noon.
So if a ribbon cutting on a Wednesday morning is not a thing your schedule allows, you have until Saturday.
After this week, the hours they list are Monday through Friday 10 to 6, and Saturday 10 to 5. They don't list a Sunday.
For where it is, I'll use their own directions rather than mine: "On Manheim Pike, just north of the city."
One honest note.
I can tell you what they say about themselves, because a brand-new store has no history to check.
