Today it doesn't, and rather than stretch something thin to fill the space, here's the honest version.
There was no new opening in the county I could source properly this week. Two leads looked promising and both died on inspection.
One was a pub reopening after a three-year closure following a fire.
Genuinely good story — except the announcement was from June.
It reopened three months ago.
The other was a library anniversary happening tomorrow.
The celebration is real and it's on their calendar.
But no page I could find — not the library's own, not the county's — states what year they opened, so I can't tell you which anniversary it is.
So: nothing invented, nothing padded. The events below are all verified, and several are worth your time.
