Free Sports Physicals for Student-Athletes - And There's Still Time to Get One

UPMC Orthopaedic Care held a free youth sports physical clinic at its Lititz location earlier this month, helping local student-athletes clear the first hurdle before the 2026–2027 school year. The good news: a second free clinic is scheduled for Monday, July 27, from 4:00–6:00 PM at 1555 Highlands Drive, Suite 190, in Lititz. 🏛️ Celebrate Lititz Weekend - Lititz Historical Foundation - 145 E. Main St., Lititz, PA. Friday–Sunday, June 12–14. This three-day milestone event marks America's 250th, Lititz's 270th, the Lititz Historical Foundation's 65th anniversary, and the Mary Oehme Gardens' 30th - all in one weekend. Friday's Founder's Day (5:30 PM) kicks things off with a flag ceremony, speakers, live music, refreshments, and birthday cake. Saturday's History Festival (11 AM–5 PM) brings reenactors, guided tours, artisan demonstrators, food, and family-friendly programming throughout the day. 🍺 German Sommerfest at Lancaster Liederkranz - 722 S. Chiques Road, Manheim, PA 17545. Friday, June 12 (5:30–11:00 PM) and Saturday, June 13 (12:30–11:00 PM). Two full days of German music, singing, dancing, food, and drink at one of Lancaster County's most beloved cultural clubs - and this one is open to the public. Award-winning, nationally touring Elvis tribute artist Jesse Garron brings a full Vegas-style show to Strasburg, backed by the Essential Elvis Tribute Band and choreographed backup singers - all free of charge. One of the longest-running Rolling Stones tribute acts in the world takes the stage at Mickey's with reserved seating and multiple ticket tiers. ❤️ Hand Up Partners Fundraiser Extravaganza - Tellus360 - 24 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Sunday, June 14; doors 12:00 PM, event 1:00–6:00 PM. A five-hour benefit concert for Hand Up Partners, the local 501(c)(3) working to address homelessness in Lancaster County. The lineup features DJ Buff Master, Vinegar Creek Constituency, The Nancy Regans, and Corty Byron - and the cause is one of the most important in the city. Weather For Wednesday, June 10 - Today's soggy - expect rain and highs near 84°, so keep an umbrella handy. The good news is the forecast dries out quickly: Thursday climbs to the low 90s with mostly clear skies, and Saturday is looking perfect at 86° with zero chance of rain. Couldn't ask for a better weekend to be outside.
